Parkes Shire Councillors, including:

were introduced to the Parkes Shire Council Depot and Workshop, by the Fleet and Depot Manager, Michael O'Shannessy. They were joined by our Federal Member, Hon Michael Mccormack, Shadow Water Minister Senator Perin Davey and Federal Seat of Parkes Nationals candidate, Jamie Chaffey.
The visit included inspecting the following new items:
- Caterpillar 140, 14ft blade, equipped with the latest construction Leica GPS, fitted with tilting front bull blade and automatic greaser system.
- Emergency trailer, to be based at Peak Hill, equipped with everything required for emergency situation, for faster response times, a project in conjunction with the RMS.
- Caterpillar 302.7 excavator with 100mm trencher to support our water teams.
- Storm water drainage inspection camera and tripod with laser pointer for accurate distance to enable drainage cleaning and repairs in our stormwater network.
- 2 x ground vibration metres, which help to create benchmarks with ground vibration before - during - after works.
These updates are part of our commitment to quality infrastructure and responsive services for our community.
