Western Sewer Augmentation

  • Project value$1,140,000.00
  • Completion Date31 January 2025

Parkes Shire Council will undertake the construction of a 1,650-meter gravity sewer main. This essential infrastructure project will connect the Parkes Special Activation Precinct (SAP) to the town’s existing sewerage network, ensuring that the new industrial development is seamlessly integrated into the local wastewater system.

The new sewer main will begin at a point east of the intersection of Hartigan Avenue and Blaxland Street. From there, it will run along the northern side of Hartigan Avenue before crossing to the southern side and passing beneath the active rail corridor. The pipeline will continue eastward, crossing Forbes Road, and will connect to an existing manhole on Austral Street, linking the SAP directly to the Parkes town sewerage system.
