Parkes Shire Council is excited to announce that the Draft Masterplan for the Peak Hill Flora and Fauna Nature Reserve is now on public exhibition. The Council invites community members to review the masterplan and provide their valuable feedback.

The Draft Masterplan outlines a strategic vision for the future development and conservation of the Peak Hill Nature Reserve, located on Golf Club Road, Peak Hill. This initiative aims to enhance the ecological values of the reserve while promoting sustainable recreational and educational opportunities for residents and visitors.

Key Features of the Draft Masterplan:

  • Ecological Conservation: Emphasis on protecting and enhancing the unique flora and fauna of the reserve.
  • Recreational Opportunities: Development of walking trails, picnic areas, and observation points to encourage outdoor activities.
  • Educational Programs: Introduction of interpretive signage and educational programs to raise awareness about the reserve’s natural heritage.
  • Community Involvement: Encouraging local community participation in conservation efforts and reserve management.
