Parkes Shire Council develops a new Disability Inclusion Action Plan after every election to identify and remove barriers for people with disabilities, aiming to create a more accessible and inclusive community. This draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan outlines the intentions and actions that Council will take to improve access to our information, services, facilities, and employment, as well as to promote the rights of people with disabilities.

Feedback from the community, particularly from individuals with lived experience, is crucial to the success of this plan. Your insights and experiences help us understand the real challenges and barriers faced by people with disabilities, ensuring that our actions are effective and meaningful. We strongly encourage everyone to review the draft plan and share their feedback to help us build a more inclusive Parkes Shire.

Feedback can be provided by either:

Sending an Email to Council

or

Writing to the General Manager
Parkes Shire Council
PO Box 337

When providing feedback, you should indicate if you support the plan and include any suggestions you may have.

Community members are encouraged to submit their feedback by 5pm Tuesday 15 April 2025.
