Temporary Road Closure - Rose Street, Parkes

On display until 25 May 2026

Parkes Shire Council advises that Rose Street will be temporarily closed to undertake stormwater and sewer works associated with the subdivision of the former hospital site.

Proposed Road Changes - Lagoon Street, Bogan Gate

Submissions closing on 05 May 2026, 05:00 PM

Parkes Shire Council advises that the section of road currently signposted as Lagoon Street, Bogan Gate, is situated on private land and does not form part of the legally recognised Lagoon Street Road corridor. Council is proposing to permanently close and remove the existing sealed Lagoon Street in its entirety.

Proposed Banning of Dogs from Sporting Fields

Submissions closing on 17 May 2026, 05:00 PM

Parkes Shire Council is currently reviewing the potential banning of dogs from Harrison Park, Woodward Oval and Keast Park.
This review is being undertaken due to ongoing issues with dog owners failing to collect dog waste, which poses serious health risks to users of these facilities for sporting and recreational purposes.
